About us

I’d like to introduce myself. I am Crystal Cummings, small business owner of Accessorize in Style boutique. I’m happily married to my best friend, Kendall, and we currently reside outside of Glen Rose, TX with our chocolate lab, Camino. We welcomed our little rainbow baby boy, Tripp, in October 2017.

My story started at a very young age, around 6 or 7 years old. I would rather play “store” with “real” money and an operating cash register than play dolls or have tea parties. I would spend the summer at my grandma’s house inviting the neighborhood kids over, dressing up with her purses and shoes and rearranging her canned goods in the pantry dozens of times playing store. Of course I was always the cashier.

I grew up in Granbury, TX and was very active in 4-H and FFA. My younger brother and I were always busy and involved in some sort of project. Whether it was horse judging, showing horses, pigs or steers, clothing, method demonstrations, community service projects or just hanging out with other 4-Hers at the local pizza place, during those years I developed skills I would later use in business.

After graduating from college in 2002, I discovered a hobby making boot purses and jewelry. It felt like 4-H all over again. It started out small and fun just making pieces for myself but others quickly noticed and wanted items too. While having a full time job in Amarillo, TX as Director of Sales in the tourism industry, my side hobby was growing. After moving to the Dallas/Fort Worth a few years later, I was able to showcase my designs at various small one day and weekend shows. Borrowing my parents’ truck and using my old two horse bumper pull horse trailer, we hit the road on the weekends across Texas. Little did I know, it was only the beginning.

With only selling jewelry and a few accessories, I struggled finding cute clothes that fit to wear in the booth. I went to many stores looking for a pair of jeans that would fit my curvy figure. With no luck, I decided there were more of us in the same position and launched the clothing side a few months later. My goal was to find trendy, fashionable yet AFFORDABLE clothing for a size 10 gal with hips and thighs. Our brands may change from season to season, but our classic chic look is constant. When selecting items for you, I keep quality, fit and versatility in mind. I have body imperfections too (big arms, muffin top, a booty and thighs that touch) and want to wear things that are flattering for my curvy body type.

The business grew into a mobile women’s boutique offering apparel, jewelry, accessories, footwear and handbags that would exhibit at over 24 shows a year. We travel to various shows across the country such as Holiday Markets, Houston Nutcracker Market, Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, Rodeo Houston and many more.

We love meeting new people and customers while on the road. However, they expressed they could only shop with us at the show once a year. In 2020, we revamped our website and added ALL of our products online and accessible at your fingertips.

Our goal is to offer quality items that are unique, fashionable and affordable for any age woman while providing customer service to each of you, our friends.
